Chris Weitz hopes the loving couple ‘retain their essential humanity’ — are you worried about them too?

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have kept down-to-earth in the midst of Twilight hysteria, but one of the series’ directors worries they might get big heads because of fame!

New Moon director Chris Weitz says he loves Rob, 25, and Kristen, 21, but he fears their sudden, massive success could change them as people, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reports.

“I want to see them succeed,” Chris said. “I want to see them retain their essential humanity. I like them very much. What I also wish for them are happy lives that aren’t impinged on too much by the downside of the great things that have happened to them.”

I don’t think kristen will ever let fame control her. She doesn’t even like fame, she loves acting. I think Kristen stewart is the most down to earth actresses ever. I’m saying she’s real.

I have seen Rob in Remember Me and Water for Elephants and I loved both movies! He can act! He is going to have a great career ahead of him! So stop being cruel. Both movies touched me. I have also seen a lot of Kristen’s movies and i loved them. She has a great future ahead of her also! These are two very good and sweet people! Yes their relationship is real. They are very private people that do not want people hounding them! Because of this there are ugly untrue rumors about them. Please leave them alone! Yes I’m talking about the real Rob and Kristen, the people. They do have separete projects and they work on them. But in the end they come back together. I’m being truthful.

Chris said that because of the previous statement that talked about Taylor doing action films instead of indies as Rob & Kris, if HL would quote him right ppl would understand what he meant. enough with twisting words HL!!

I think Rob has more of a problem with believing all the hype than Kristen. Sad thing is once Breaking Dawn 1 & 2 are released and the Twilight hype dies down, Rob will lose many of his female fans that are obsessed. I have seen his non- Twilight movies and he is not very impressive as an actor. I’ve seen Remember Me and WFE and he doesn’t bring any depth to the characters he plays. I think he has great potential but the roles he is being cast in are too much like Edward. Say what you want about Kristen, but she is one hell of actress. Panic Room was great, but Speak, Into The Wild, Welcome to They Rileys, show what an awesome actress she is. So if you’re next question is if Rob isn’t such a great actor why are the movies he is in doing so well? It’s because the majority of his fans are teenage females or women in midlife crisis who are bored. It doesn’t matter if Rob is dating Kristen, Caitlin, he will NEVER be with any of you!!! He is NOT EDWARD. Read any magazine articles about him and he is usually drunk, and with some random female. He giggles like a girl and nothing he says makes sense. The MTV awards more than proved that.

Rob is an actor and Kristen is an actress and they are not a couple. Shia just talked about how easy it is for co-stars to hook up when trapped on a location, it doesn’t mean true love. Delusional shippers can’t deal with their friends with benefits activities and make up fantasies because their own romances are lacking.

They play Edward and Bella, they aren’t the characters in real life. Chris Weitz trades on their names to get publicity for his new film, he’s not even friends with them, he has no idea. Kristen hasn’t been to visit Rob for 47 days but she has time to hang out all over the world with Garrett. Wake up and smell the coffee, even the FWB thing is over.

indeed. if they were as wild and crazy in love as the blogs and tabs claim they wouldn’t be apart for over a month when there’s not work as an excuse.

They are friends, perhaps who had some benefits along the way, but that’s all. Hell Rob even said something to the effect that folks would know if he was in a relationship cause he doesn’t feel the need to hide such things.

As for Weitz, honey they were crazy famous after Twilight came out and well before you met them. So if hadn’t happened by then, it likely won’t happen.

We haven’t even gotten pictures of Rob out drinking in the bars and we know he has been. So enough with acting like you know when she visited or not-none of us know except for them.

This couple has remained down-to-earth and together under the kind of success that you don’t see very often. They have stayed true to each other, no matter what the tabloids say, and have maintained the privacy of their personal relationship. And they have done so beginning at the age of 17 for Kristen and 21 for Rob, their respective ages when they met. The should be applauded for how they have carried themselves through all of it for keeping a relationship what it should be, between the two of them. They are an example that many twice their age don’t have the moxy to follow and, as a fan, I love them for it. Taylor Lautner’s character has been a 3rd wheel throughout Twilight but that young man has also maintained a level of grace that is rare in anyone, let alone someone his age. I’m not a tween – I’m 55 – and proud to be a fan. There is not a jerk in this entire cast and I am thrilled to see them all doing so well.

I agree totally… these people need to learn to read and spell before they spew their ideas out into the world…just let Rob and Kristen figure it out. I hope they end up together after all is said and done, but Hollywood sucks the real life out of people, and that’s why I won’t let my very talented children into the industry until they can get a handle on how harsh the real world is…
