The Duchess of Cambridge is not afraid to get her hands dirty — even in a dress and pumps!
Prince William and Kate Middleton wasted no time getting to close to the people — they put aside all pretension and dug a hole themselves to plant a tree at an official Canadian event!
Will and Kate, both 29, went to Rideau Hall in Ottawa to plant a ceremonial tree at Government House on July 2. Although other royals may have just observed the tree being planted, Will and Kate both took the shovel and did some of the manual labor themselves.
The craziest part? Kate was predictably dressed to kill in a short grey dress and sky-high pumps. We’ve never seen someone look so sexy on a work site!
What do you think, HollywoodLifers — is Kate the most down-to-earth royal ever?

These two are such good sports. Their Canadian itinerary sounds so painfully boring but they are smiling and being so courteous. Kate is the perfect bride for William!
