The royal couple look comfortable and relaxed with each other, though they can sometimes be tense with their rehearsed routines! Plus, our expert says it’s obvious Kate also loves kids from the way she talks to them — how cute!

Prince William and wife Kate Middleton are some genuine people! Body language expert Vince Harris says Will and Kate are not only happy with one another, they share a deep connection with their fans!

“They are leaning in towards one another, a sign of comfort and wanting to be closer to someone we care for. They are making direct eye contact, and both (particularly Prince William) are exhibiting facial expressions that indicate they are happy to be with one another, at the very least, while the photo was taken,” Vince explains.

“Kate, while happy, is a bit more intense with her look. She’s using her eyes to penetrate and connect deeply with Prince William, and not to just look good for the cameras.”

Not only are they in love with each other, but the royals care deeply for their fans as well, Vince says!

“Height is a sign of dominance. Here, we see Kate stooping lower than what would be required for the exchange,” Vince says of a photo of Kate with a child. “She is truly interested in making this little girl feel much bigger and more important than her size would suggest. A show of compassion by Kate.”

“Kate intuitively knows that to connect with children, you literally have to get on their level, and she does so, at least as much as her height and dress will allow. She is also making the open mouth, wide eyed look at this child, much like mothers instinctively do to their children. Kate loves kids!”

The newlywed prince also has his way with the commoners! “Much like his wife, Prince William knows how to make someone feel special. He, too, has lowered his upper body, a bit, and is leaning in towards the two ladies. And, his eye contact is strong, almost like he’s looking beyond the surface of this ladies eyes. A meeting she will likely never forget,” Vince says.

Vince adds that the couple do, in fact, show small signs of frustration — but that it may actually be from all of the media scrutiny!

“Here, we see Kate’s fingers are interlaced, with Prince William using a more relaxed one hand over the other,” he explains. “With the press and countless people in front of them, her hint of frustration could be something as simple as the unending camera flashes, and not necessarily about the Prince.”
