J.P. — the rumored winner — is so taken with Ashley that he even defends her reaction to the Bentley Williams situation: ‘She was hurt and had insecurities — we’re all the same!’
Bachelorette Ashley Hebert‘s falling head over heels for J.P. Rosenbaum — and it seems that he feels the same way, which is great considering that he is the rumored winner of Ashley’s final rose and her reported fiance!
“I think I’m probably stating the obvious when I say at this point in the season that I am totally smitten with Ashley,” J.P. gushes in his personal video blog on Warner Bros Bachelor site. “That date we just had in Hong Kong, it was such a special, special night. My feelings at that point and the relationship in my eyes just jumped to a totally different level!”
J.P. felt an intense connection with Ashley in Hong Kong. “It was really a special night that meant a lot to me,” he admits. And “I think it meant a lot to Ashley. It’s one night that I’ll definitely never forget.”
And like the rest of America, J.P. was surprised at how Bentley Williams treated Ashley, especially during episode six! “I know you are all shocked with what you’ve seen up to episode six, and trust me I’m just as shocked as all of you,” he says. “I’ve seen all of this for the first time and there are several times in the episode where I sit there with a blank stare on my face because I can’t believe what I’m seeing.”
He also defends the way Ashley reacted to the situation. “But I also have different perspective on this than all of you. I know that there are tremendous pressures that Ashley’s under, that the rest of us are under,” J.P.explains. “Pressures that come along with being involved with something like this that I wouldn’t expect anyone else to really understand, not unless you went through it. So just try to keep that in the back of your head when you’re judging what you see.”
“From what I see, I see that Ashley’s a lot stronger than most people give her credit for,” he continues. “She was hurt and she had some insecurities and she got upset and she was emotional. But we’re all the same. I get emotional. I have insecurities. I get upset. And I think given the circumstances, she’s handling this pretty well.”
“She’s persevering and that episode six was a turning point,” J.P. adds. “I can guarantee you that there are a lot of good things to come for Ashley.” Like J.P. and Ashley’s wedding?
