The top two contestants on this season of ‘The Voice’ finished only two percentage points away from one another! So who won the competition?
Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Vicci Martinez and Beverly McClellan all put up one heck of a fight as the final four contestants on the first season of The Voice. Going into the season finale June 29, we honestly could not pick who was going to win — and America almost had the same issue!
The top two singers, Dia and Javier, had only a 2% difference in votes — but it was Javier who was crowned winner. The Puerto Rican singer cried as he found out he won the title, while his coach, Adam Levine, looked thrilled.
Javier was the only guy in the top four, and had quite the helpful fan — Justin Bieber, who urged his millions of Twitter followers to vote for his friend Adam’s protege.
Javier will receive $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Republic. We cannot wait to see his star rise even more!

That just makes me so mad. It was not fair for Justin Bieber to ask people to vote for Javier. What about poor Dia? Was she expected to pop up with Selena Gomez or some other actress/actor and say, “Hey, vote for me if you’re really a fan of Selena Gomez?” No, she shouldn’t have been. If I had been running that show, I would have called that cheating, had Javier disqualified, and I would have crowned Dia the winner. Shame on you, Justin Bieber, for supporting such acts of unfairness.
