Tara Thornton V. Ryan Atwood: Who Makes A Better Cage Fighter?

The ‘True Blood’ and ‘O.C.’ characters both channeled their angst into a violent new hobby — but who did it better?

Tara Thornton’s (Rutina Wesley) transformation from sassy bartender to kick-ass cage fighter on True Blood may have seemed strange to many — myself included — but it’s not the first time we’ve seen a beloved character turn to a life of violence after a traumatic event. Let’s travel back to Nov. 2006, when a young Californian named Ryan Atwood (Ben McKenzie) used his fists to beat down the sadness of losing dear, sweet Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton.) Weirder still, both characters made their angry life-change on their show’s fourth season premieres!

Now all Tara needs is a wise, bushy-eyebrow’d mentor (á la Sandy Cohen) to swoop in and save her from this life of senseless bloodshed. Perhaps Derek from Teen Wolf is free for an intervention. His eyebrows are so bushy, they’re hypnotic.

Speaking of Ryan Atwood, Ben Mckenzie is now on twitter and his first tweet is hilarious.
