In an exclusive and emotional interview with HollywoodLife.com, George Hartwell — Zachary’s dad — tells HollywoodLife.com his wife’s biggest fear ‘was that one of her kids would die before she did.’ And then it came true.
Jackass star Ryan Dunn and his passenger Zachary Hartwell‘s sudden deaths shocked everyone. However, in an ironic twist, Zac’s parents were always ready for a call with bad news about one of their eight children — just not him. George Hartwell opens up to HollywoodLife.com in an exclusive interview.
“My wife’s biggest fear was that one of her kids would die before she did,” he told us, while speaking about his 30-year-old son’s death. “We have two kids fighting in Afghanistan right now. We always feared for their lives, but not Zac’s!”
George already described Zac’s unforgettable memorial service June 25, but he couldn’t help but emphasizing once again how special — and positive — the day was.
“There was so much laughter during Zac’s services,” he explained. “That’s what he would have wanted. I can’t even count how many times the word ‘bullshit’ was used during the services. We all just laughed and remembered the good times.”
