Alex McCord & Cindy Barshop Not Returning To 'The Real Housewives of New York City'!

Show insiders tell HollywoodLife.com exclusively that: Alex and Cindy are out and we can also reveal that the RH Miami cast has been renewed for a second season — plus Bravo’s Andy Cohen is looking for new casts in different cities!

In The Real Housewives of New York City club, it’s always a matter of who’s in and who’s out. Insiders very close to the show tell HollywoodLife.com exclusively that stars Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop will not be returning for the next season.

Bethenny Frankel and Jennifer Gilbert were the two most recent departures from the RHONY cast — and Cindy was brought in to fill their shoes. Alex has been with the cast since the beginning.

Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Jill Zarin, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and Kelly Killoren Bensimon are all expected to come back. Is it the producer’s choice that Alex and Cindy aren’t coming back?

In other Housewives news, another show insider shares with us that The Real Housewives of Miami has been renewed for a second season — and that the cast will include some new faces.

A source close to the production adds that Housewives head honcho Andy Cohen, Executive Vice-President of Original Programming and Development at Bravo, has reopened the doors and is looking to include new city casts to the series. Before this, he maintained that no more Housewives would be added to the franchise.

A rep for Bravo tells us: “No decisions have been made regarding next season and everything at this point is rumor.”

Alex, we love you! Easily the most intelligent and articulate woman out of this pack of yapping hyenas. Please ignore anything that bothers to make its way out of Kelly’s mouth, she has the insight of a dyspraxic 8 year old. Countess sits on a moral highchair dispensing ‘invaluable’ pieces of advice for all the sinners…yawn. Don’t really mind/care about the rest of them, bravo you need to keep Alex, she is becoming the new Bethanny.

Whew! what a reunion. Alex won with her commentary as she has finally
come into her own on this show thanks to all the good teachers she
had in how to talk nasty and take the offensive. Ramona has the best heart and does not have the inherent nasty nature of LuAnn. Cindy is so representative of a JAP for all its worst qualities; she cares nothing for anyone, but herself. Jill comes in second although she is not as obtuse as Cindy. Kelly needs to get her groove back; being nice just for the sake of it makes her boring and uninteresting. She is smart and creative and I wish she would embrace that instead of being Jill’s lap dog. Truly, though, LuAnn is the worst of the bunch; she has a mean spirit and is sooo unbelievably condescending and almost of a cartoon-like quality. Her French is sad and her Italian is sadder, but don’t let her know so as to not burst that bubble she lives in. Wonder what she will do when Jacques leaves her high and dry. Wonder how much money he has taken from her and the Count? We will know soon enough, guaranteed!

I find Cindy to be extremely unlikable. She has no personality and her comments always seem off center. She couldn’t even handle one of her babies at a luncheon with her parents. She certainly does not know the proper thing to do in another persons house, what she did to Sonja was inexcusable. She seems to think she is a wonderful person when the opposite is true. Why don’t any of the housewives have one nice thing to say about her? Its because she doesn’t seem to have a single redeeming quality. Yet she is soooo annoying.

Last year, Kelly asked her twitter followers to send her some “lines” for the reunion. LuAnn obviously consulted a joke writer because she’s NEVER brought any humor before.

Very sad to see Alex leave. She’s grown so much on the show & has found her voice. She’s a great wife, a good citizen, and a gorgeous mom. She embraces her hubby & her children in a beautiful way. She’s the only housewife left with a “heart”. She’s a purring kitten amongst a group of pitbulls…aka “the Countless” & her her mean-girl friend Jill. Glad to see Cindy leave – she’s a bore & brings nothing to the show. Alex just found her voice & I hope she keeps voicing her opinions to the “mean-girls” of the world!!

Jill is a good friend, She has never said anything harsh or bad. Ya she will say something at the moment if she thinks something is weird,& she knows its being taped. Why do some have 2 hate on Jill, she is sophisticated, well known,involved in many Charities.As 4 MISS Hermen munster shoes,She is just thirsty, hungry, 4 drama, that she butts in others fights. Jill is completely self focused and only sees things from her point of view so is in fact, a terrible friend. Glad that Bethenney doesn’t have to deal with her anymore. In fact, Jill wouldn’t have any friends if she didn’t have money to buy/punish them. Alex and Simon are poor disciplinarians with their kids but are nice people and don’t deserve Jill’s attacks. The most sane cast member was Bethenny. I trust her judgment. She likes Alex and has completely dumped Jill. Nuff said. You really have to watch the entire series from beginning to end to have an opinion on who is a troll. Another point: Lu Ann has never worked for anything in her life (and it’s doubtful that the Count has either) – except that stupid book on manners that nobody cares about. And doesn’t she know that it’s in very poor taste to continually “judge” everyone else and make crappy comments about them???? Also, it was hilarious to hear her say that “Bethenny is “catching up” with the rest of them.” REALLY?? Does she mean “catching up” with their “husbands”? Because Bethenny actually graduated college, has worked in the real world, survived Martha Stewart and built her own empire – unlike all of the other cast mates who are basically brood mares (including you Jill) other than Alex. And Kelly is a complete nut case who is truly too dumb to compete with the rest of the crew – but it makes for good tv. All I can say is if you’re going to be stupid, Kelly, you better be tough. :)

I wish this rumor was true. Silex are quite a team – of social climbing gossip girls. It’s shocking that Alex gets hired as a model with bad hair, skin, teeth and posture. She morphed from S-1 as a simpy puppet who didn’t care about anyone except her other half into a shrill shrew this season. Simon is more annoying than a gnat. Cindy was dull and charm free most of the time. However, at the reunion, she delivered the best line to Alex, “Are you a lap dog?… because you’re panting!” Aaaaah! That was brilliant. Alex is Ramona’s, Sonja’s and Simon’s lap dog. She barks, pants and licks her master! Unfortunately, this “rumor” (about Silex leaving) has been stated each season. They always slither back to the small screen. So, I think their departure is just another hoax. Oh, well. I can simply channel surf when they’re on.

I agree that Cindy appeared boring, but if you caught a few of her quips, she’s actually got real potential for this show. Her humor is far more sophisticated than the others, and if they gave her a season without the trash, I think she’d shine.
