Days before she heads to North America with Prince William, Kate gets a makeover!

Kate Middleton is a fashion icon, and in order to keep her look fresh, she visited a salon in London — shocking onlookers when she walked around town so casually!

Kate, 29, stopped by the Richard Ward salon for an appointment with James Pryce on June 24 and spent two hours getting pampered, PEOPLE reports.

“She seemed so relaxed and smiled at everyone as she left,” an eyewitness says. “She didn’t appear fazed by the people staring at her — she was radiant.”

Kate looked super-chic in a black dress and sunglasses, and slipped in and out of her appointment largely unnoticed.
