William admits that he had to tell Ashley that Ben C. wanted to do online dating — but he feels horrible that Ashley kicked Ben C. out so quickly!

Bachelorette Ashley Hebert wasn’t going to stand around and be fooled by another guy. That’s why when William Holman told her — during their two-on-one date on the June 20 episode — that Ben Castoriano wanted to pursue online dating, Ashley immediately dismissed Ben and sent him packing. Today, William wishes things had gone down differently that day!

“I know I did a bad thing by throwing one guy down a river,” William tells RealityTVWorld.com during a conference call. “I wouldn’t want to do that to any of the other guys after doing that.”

But William understands how Ben could have thought he didn’t stand a chance with Ashley. “There was definitely some talk in the house early on, and it was a very difficult thing because a lot of guys think because they hadn’t had a one-on-one date or a group date, that they don’t have a chance with her and they start thinking about what happens after the show,” he says.

Still it didn’t make an excuse for how much detail Ben went into about wanting to date online. “He was talking about specific online dating sites — his words were: ‘After the show is over’ he was ‘going to be able to clean up,'” recalls William. “To me, it didn’t sit well with me, so I felt that she needed to know.”

“I did feel like he was insincere,” continues William. “I didn’t do it as a way to get him out of the way. Ben C. is a nice guy, but it was something that he did talk about. I wouldn’t have made anything up like that. I’m not that kind of person, but I just felt like if she was questioning anyone’s integrity or purpose on the show, that she should know.

William didn’t think Ashley would react so quickly though. “It was just me trying to warn her — to let her know — and I didn’t know he was going to be sent home like right after I told her about that,” shares William. “I figured because of the roast and her giving me a second chance, that she would have sat down and talked with Ben C. a little bit more about it to find out if he was joking about it, why he was joking that way.”

But William still feels bad that he caused Ben C. to be shipped away. “I like the guy a lot, and he didn’t deserve that, and it was a cheap shot.”

BFFs — do you think William took a “cheap shot” at Ben C.?

Maybe William should join the many free dating sites that are out there such as Jumpdates, Plentyoffish, Mingle2. He may have better luck there!

William is such a bone head! when is he going to grow up? Think things through ten times before you open your mouth because you seem to regret after you speak. I really like William I think he is handsome but still needs to mature. He said he never been in love. Here you go no wonder his behavior is like a kid in a big man’s body. I still forgive him because he will still makes mistakes but he is growing and learning.
