The Duchess really is just like us! Rather than work with a stylist or accept any freebies (which are definitely being thrown at her right and left) she intends to pay for everything she wears.
Every time Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, steps out wearing any sort of clothing it causes a frenzy — and for that very reason designers must be dying to see Kate in their get-ups. Rather than graciously accept the free clothing (which is definitely just one of the perks of her new title) the down-to-earth Duchess won’t be working with a stylist or accepting any free clothing!
People reports that, “Royal officials say she may be striking “private agreements” with designers to help build her tour wardrobe.”
A spokesman for the couple told the mag that the Duchess “has a policy not to accept any free offers of clothing. We would never discuss the prices paid for individual items – these will remain private between the Duchess and the designers. She will not receive any special clothing budget for the Canada and California tour.”
Once again, Kate proves that she’s still totally relateable (regardless of her stellar style sense).
