Ted and Janelle Clouse are celebrating the ‘bittersweet’ arrival of little Gabriel Nelson, just three months after a deadly blaze destroyed their Pennsylvania farmhouse, claiming the lives of all but one of their children.
The victims included the Clouse’s nine-month-old daughter Samantha — and six other children, who were all 11-years-old or younger. Only three-year-old Leah, who fled the fire to raise the alarm, survived. What a tragic story.
Ted and Janelle Clouse were forced to quickly pick up the pieces of their lives after the fire — Janelle was six months pregnant!
The local community, many of who are Amish, rallied together and built them a new house in just three weeks — and they were already settled in when Gabriel arrived on June 16.
Janelle’s sister Carolyn Albright tells the Daily Mail, “It’s really bittersweet. Last night she said that she felt like it was just an attempt to replace Samantha, because she was just a baby too.”
