Friends and family often warned him about driving too fast.
Although it had been reported that Jackass star Ryan Dunn had a driving under the influence citation from 2005, reports have surfaced that he’s had 23 driving citations in the years before his fatal June 20 accident.
Ryan, who was 34 at the time of his death, had been caught ten times for speeding and careless driving and three for driving with a suspended license, among other citations, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Meanwhile, Jackass costar Bam Mangera‘s mother April — who considered Ryan a son — says she warned him about speeding, NBC 10 reports.
“He drove too fast and I yelled at him all the time about that,” she said.
Meanwhile, many of Ryan’s famous friends are still tweeting their support.
Fellow Jackass star Steve-O took to Twitter on June 20, writing, “I don’t know what to say, except I love Ryan Dunn and I’m really going to miss him.”
Johnny Knoxville also spoke out about the passenger in the car on June 21, tweeting, “I would like to send my love out to the family of Zach Hartwell. I am very sorry for your loss.”
This story just keeps getting sadder and sadder — we feel so much for Ryan’s family.

Candle in the Wind (Ryan Dunn’s version)
Goodbye Ryan Dunn
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself…
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to know you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did
I wish that Elton John would continue doing a Candle In The Wind tribute for every celebrity who died.
LOL
