'Teen Wolf' Recap: Scott & Allison's First Dinner Date — Awkward Tension, Anyone?

It was an evening of discoveries, gunshots & lots of tweaking out. (Thanks again, Stiles.)

Scott (Tyler Posey) had his first dinner with Allison’s (Crystal Reed) family on the June 20 episode of MTV’s Teen Wolf, and it went just as terribly as I expected — or as Scott would say, it went freaking terribly. But let’s back up a tad: The evening’s shenanigans began when everyone’s favorite bushy-browed werewolf Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) was shot by a mysterious (not to mention super-hot) stranger, who we soon learned has a strong connection to Allison’s family.

And by a “strong connection,” I of course mean they’re related. Yes, Allison’s smokin’ hot Aunt Kate (Jill Wagner) is in town now — and she brought more than just the inappropriate cleavage she showed off at their family dinner. She also brought along a mini arsenal in her duffle bag, which Scott happily rooted through in order to find the key to saving Derek’s life.

Kate confronted Scott on his way out the door, pressuring him to tell her what he stole from her bag, but the joke turned out to be on her, as Allison took the heat and confessed to stealing — wait for it — a condom! (Side note: As I watched a preview of Teen Mom during the subsequent commercial break, I did think to myself, “Gee… if only they’d been smart like Allison.)

With the cure in hand, Scott met up with Derek just in the knick of time. Seriously, Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) was tweaking out harder than we’ve ever seen over the prospect of having to go all 127 Hours on Derek’s wounded arm. I, for one, am glad Derek got to keep his appendage; with that Alpha Wolf on the loose, Scott and his friends will need all the arms they can get.

And speaking of arms, I should also note that Derek totally dug his claws into Jackson’s (Colton Haynes) neck at the beginning of the episode, leaving a pretty serious gash. Could this possibly have any interesting affects on Beacon Hills High’s resident d-bag?

So what did you all think of this week’s episode? Do these guys stand a chance against the Alpha Wolf? And do you think Scott and Allison will be making sweet sweet were-babies in the near future? Drop a comment and let us know what’s on your mind!

I absolutely love this show. Addicting. No boring parts and intense. Stiles delivers comic genius. I usually fast forward during spots but not this one!!
