Joe Gorga finally agrees to forgive and forget the everlasting family feud between him and sister, Teresa Guidice, but only under one condition: Teresa and Melissa make peace once and for all.
Teresa puts her “big girl panties on,” and sets up a meeting between her and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga to ask for forgiveness, but Melissa isn’t an easy one to forget.
Joe Gorga and Teresa Guidice finally went head on during this week’s episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey. The two met at a neutral and public location so their reunion wouldn’t turn into what the rest of their attempted reconciliations have turned into – yelling, the occasional table flipping and physical abuse.
The sibling battle began with some serious finger pointing.
“You don’t even call my kids, you have never been an Aunt,” Joe Gorga announces to Teresa. Teresa blames Melissa for her distant behavior. “She pushed me away and I got away,” Teresa says. Teresa mentioned again the housewarming card that Melissa gave her. Joe explained that Melissa only wrote “congrats on your redone house” because of a snarky comment Teresa had said before.
But finally Teresa brings up their father’s illness and says they really need to end this and move forward. Joe agrees and says, “why don’t the women step up to the plate, and keep this family together?”
Teresa follows through with his suggestion, calls Melissa and asks her to meet her at Jacqueline’s house.
Teresa seemed like was finally ready to reunite the two families. Because in all honesty, I don’t think Teresa has been the most mature player throughout this fight.
Teresa surprises me and says to Melissa “I’m really sorry about how things got,” and proceeds to tell her how family is the most important thing in her life. But instead of Melissa taking the high road and hugging it out with Teresa, she retaliates and says, “it hasn’t been about family for you… this is why I feel like it’s never going to work.”
Ouch! Teresa was definitely caught off guard with that response. Good thing Jacqueline isn’t letting them leave the house until some sort of resolution occurs.
“I’m not letting either of them out of my house until they hug it out,” Jacqueline says.
And I couldn’t agree more! This has gone on for far too long! Give up the guns Teresa and Melissa — it’s time to focus on the well-being of your families rather than your problems with each other.
In the meantime, Caroline Manzo has her first night as a radio show host — and it was amazing!
Do you think Melissa and Teresa will grow up and forgive each other? Will they ever resolve their issues? Tell me what you think!
