Emmy-winning star of stage and screen, Kristin Chenoweth, an adopted child herself, has partnered with Wendy’s to raise adoption awareness just in time for Father’s Day.
Along with Wendy’s, Kristin Chenoweth is helping spread the word about foster care and adoption through her support of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. “This cause is close to my heart,” Kristin, 42, said. “Being adopted, I know how special it is to have a family that loves you.”
As part of Wendy’s fifth annual Father’s Day Frosty Weekend (June 18-19), 50 cents from every Frosty sold benefits the foundation.
“You just buy a Frosty and 50 cents goes to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, which is great because they help find families for kids and even help kids in foster care stay healthy and happy here in the U.S.,” Kristin said.
“I actually get to be with my dad this Father’s day and my dad and I are going together to support this cause,” Kristin, who was adopted herself, adds.
So, does Kristin see adoption in her future?
“I definitely see myself adopting,” she said. “I think if I have children, that’s how I’ll do it. I’d like to have a partner to do it with, but even if I find myself someday still not married, I would definitely choose adoption.“
How about you HollyMoms, do you have adoption stories or plans for the future?

Wow, just wow. It makes me sad that she was titled as “glee’s Kristen Chenoweith” the woman has made a pretty outstanding name for herself without the help of glee. She was in like 4 episodes. She won an Emmy for her work on Pushing Daisies, her own tv show- not glee as the article implies- and originated roles in Wicked, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and Promises Promises. She’s also been in many other shows and films such as Annie, the Pink Panther, and the Tinkerbell films. Yes you mentioned her work on the stage, it just makes me sad that she’s known for Glee and not one of her more amazing performances.
