Amber left the hospital this morning, June 17, after spending 72 hours on psychiatric evaluation.
Teen Mom Amber Portwood, 21, has been through an emotional string of events, but she’s finally left St. John’s Hospital in Anderson, In. after allegedly attempting to commit suicide on Tuesday, June 14, at her home.
RadarOnline.com is reporting that the troubled MTV star was just released from the hospital, after she was likely on hold for a 72 hour psychiatric evaluation, which is standard procedure for patients who attempt to harm themselves.
Meanwhile, her on-again, off-again beau and baby Leah‘s father Gary Shirley, 24, is standing by Amber and trying to support her through this tough time.
“The amount of positive support and energy has been overwhelming. An email account has been set up for those who would like to send well wishes to Amber herself,” Gary wrote on his Twitter account late Thursday night.
“Your support is too special to pass up. All emails will be screened and any positive message will be printed and given to Amber – thinkingofamber@gmail.com.”
We hope Amber is doing well and gets the help she needs.

Amber, I’m sorry to say but you need to grow up!!!! Stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about that beautiful daughter of yours!!! Gary get your head out of your ass and leave Amber before Leah ends up getting taken away from both of you! Leah needs good parents not ones that she ALWAYS hears fighting and a mother that is ALWAYS trying to commit suicide! I think you guys should’ve given Leah up for adoption! She sure as hell would’ve been way better off!!!!
