Is Julia Roberts' Snow White Putting Kristen Stewart's Version In Danger?

Julia’s version of ‘Snow White’ is coming out with guns blazing — filming has begun and the studio is already advertising for it in magazines! Is Kristen’s version doomed to fail?

The battle of the Snow Whites continues! Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron and Sam Claflin are all starring in director Rupert Sander’s version Snow White and the Huntsman by Universal. Meanwhile, Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, and Armie Hammer are leading director Tarsem Singh‘s untitled Snow White by Relativity Media. Relativity has already started putting ads in Hollywood trade publications, and principle photography has begun! But what does this mean for Kristen’s version?

Kristen’s version will still get made and will begin filming in a few months. But it might be in danger of getting left behind in the dust since Relativity has a head start.

Universal and Relativity have already battled out the release dates and at least for now, Julia and Lily’s Snow White will come out first on March 16. Meanwhile, the Hunstman script is undergoing rewrites by Hossein Amini and scheduled to start filming in the fall.

Do you think that Relativity’s movie starring Julia, Lily and Armie will outdo Universal’s with Kristen, Chris and Sam before it even has a chance for a fair fight? Let us know your thoughts below!

Guys, honestly? Twilight has NOTHING to do with any of this. The movie has nothing to do with those movies except for the fact that Kristen Stewart is in it.

Kristen Stewart isn’t a good actress bottom line. She has no emotion on camera so I don’t think this role will be good for her.
On the other hand I have not seen Lily Collins in a movie so I’m not sure how well of an actress she is.

Ow! and look at the picture of Kristen Stewart and Julia Roberts, Julia looks old even if her picture was obviously photoshopped and airbrushed! What do you expect? she’s over 40 while Kristen is only 21 years old!

THAT’S NOT FAIR!!! We are talking of the title roles here …. SNOW WHITE! It’s very clear that the box office challenge is between the TWILIGHT star KRISTEN STEWART and the newbie LILY COLLINS! Kristen Stewart is already an A list one of the highest paid hollywood celebrity with legions of Robsten and Twihard fans all over the world! She has already proven herself in the box office record while Lily Collins has not yet proven anything except for being the daughter of Phil Collins. Now, you are using the name of the EVIL QUEEN JULIA ROBERTS to get even with the SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN of Kristen Stewart!? If that is the case, why not change the title of the film with Lily Collins as the supporting character to the evil queen? Change the title into “THE EVIL QUEEN STRIKES SNOW WHITE!” With that title, it is now fair to challenge the SWATH of KRISTEN STEWART! Very clear!…. KRISTEN STEWART versus JULIA ROBERTS!!! I go for Kristen Stewart because she’s young, beautiful and good actress! Julia Roberts should find her place under the sun, she could play as a mother to Kristen Stewart!

Kristen’s version sounds way more interesting than Lily’s version. Why do they call it “Julia’s” version, no one calls it that?

As much as I love Tarsem Singh and Eiko Ishioka, the plot and general feel of ‘Snow White and the Hunstman’ appeals to me a lot more than ‘Brothers Grimm’s Snow White’, which I feel could turn out silly and contrived, especially as I read that ‘BG’s Snow White’ contains gay jokes. I’ll see both films though, they both look interesting.

well i don’t think being pretty has anything to do with this , and i think Kristen is way prettier if you want to go with looks , but hey to each his/her own .my thoughts on this is SWATH seems to be a lot more interesting due to the fact that the bros. Grimm wrote it to be a little scary not the Disney version , it’s great if you are 3 or 4 yrs old but this one is definitely for a much older crowd like the Bros. Grimm intended it to be . If anyone ever read the true stories they wrote it’s suppose to scare you a bit,so if you want “tweety birds” and singing go rent the disney version I for one can’t wait to see how this is going to look..

Yeah! you’re absolutely right Kendall!!! KRISTEN STEWART’S SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN rules!!! Relativity’s Snow White Brother’s Grimm is shaking like hell because UNIVERSAL’S SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN is deemed to rock the Hollywoods silver screen!!! Who is Lily Collins as compared to KRISTEN STEWART? she’s nothing! Z E R O ! ! ! that’s why they need to use the name of JULIA ROBERTS in desperate attempt to counter the super mega charm of KRISTEN STEWART! but Julia Roberts even thou award winning actress is an old horse already! They even say that Tarsem Singh would make a better version of Snow White because of his superior talent and skill as director! tsk! tsk! tsk! all of these are obviously desperate attempts to counter the the powerful dream team of KRISTEN STEWART, CHARLIZE THERON, CHRIS HEMSWORTH and SAM CLAFLIN!!! Look at the poll! every figure points to the direction of the winning Snow White version SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN!!!

I am willing to wait and reserve my ticket to Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and the Huntsman!!! I like Kristen Stewart so much! and SWATH’s casts Theron, Hemsworth and Claflin is a dream team!!! They will rock the box office record! Never mind the other Snow White. I think its boring! I don’t know the girl Lily Collins, besides she’s not that pretty like Kristen.
