Amber Portwood’s step-grandmother Marilyn tells HollyBaby.com that she didn’t even know Amber was in the hospital for a suicide attempt until she heard it in the news! And she talks about how Amber’s father is in need of a liver transplant!
Amber Portwood’s step-grandma Marilyn Portwood, who lives in Anderson, Indiana talked to HollyBaby.com today and revealed, “I didn’t even know my granddaughter was at St. John’s Hospital until I read about it in the local newspaper. No one even called me to tell me!
Marilyn, Amber’s grandmother from marriage, tells HollyBaby.com, “I don’t approve of Amber’s lifestyle at all. I feel sorry for baby Leah. The last time I saw Amber was at Walmart a couple of months ago and when she saw me she burst into tears with her false eyelashes on. I know she’s not happy.”
Marilyn goes on to say, “Ever since my husband Frank died (Frank is Amber’s paternal grandfather) no one keeps in touch with me. Occasionally I will hear from Amber’s brother Shawn. Amber just seems to be in her own circle.”
According to Marilyn, Amber and her own father rarely speak. “Amber’s father, Shawn, lives in Florida, he has been very ill and needs a liver transplant. Amber and him don’t talk much. It’s too bad.”
Meanwhile, Amber’s brother Shawn who believes Gary Shirley is the cause of all of Amber’s troubles posted a plea for her fans to show support, on his Facebook page: “All I can say at this time is Amber is fine, but please everyone pray for her…She needs your support now more than ever. The negative people and comments she encounters day-to-day have finally got the best of her. Please let’s get more people to join to show their support for her.”
As HollyBaby.com reported earlier Amber was released from St. John’s Hospital, where she likely stayed at The Anderson Center, the mental facility across the street from St. John’s , early Friday morning after spending 72 hours in the facility.
