An insider close to the situation tells HollyBaby.com that patients suffering from suicidal attempts are transferred from St. John’s Hospital to the mental facility across the street…which is where Amber Portwood is most likely to be located right now.
Teen Mom star Amber Portwood seems to be in good hands after her suicide attempt, according to her baby’s daddy, Gary Shirley, who tweeted June 16, “Amber is safe and getting the help she needs right now. Thanks for your prayers and support.” However, we believe she may be staying in a mental health facility for the time being.
“The Anderson Center is the mental facility, where patients suffering from suicidal attempts and threats are taken to after first being admitted and evaluated at St. John’s Hospital,” a source tells HollyBaby.com.
As HollyBaby.com previously reported, Gary and Amber got into an argument on the phone the morning of the incident.
According to the source, “She said she was mad because he cheated on her, but he thinks that was just [an excuse] to pick a fight with him, because it happened two years ago. She said she was so upset, she was going to kill herself.”
Regardless of where Amber’s staying now, we hope she’s getting the help she needs and wish her nothing but the best in her recovery.
