The star of stage and screen celebrates 56 today!

Best known for her role on Roseanne, the funny lady showed how scary she can be in Scream 2.

Not only is Laurie a three-time Emmy winner, she’s also been nominated for two Golden Globes, a Tony, and Screen Actors Guild award.

With her first husband, Laurie has a daughter: Zoe, 27. With current husband, Matt Roth (the met on Roseanne!), Laurie has Will, 13, and Mae, 5½. In 2008, they also took in a foster son.

Laurie has played a major role in expanding Plan USA, an organization that helps children in need around the world.

Most recently, Laurie has been pursuing theatre work, both on and off-Broadway.
