Instead of spending time with Amber at the hospital, Gary Shirley had a backyard party with friends!
According to RadarOnline.com, Gary Shirley “had a cookout at his house last night (June 14) with a bunch of his good friends.” In case you forgot, Gary’s on-again/off-again girlfriend Amber Portwood is in the hospital after attempting suicide. Terrible.
A well-placed source tells the website, “He’s concerned for Amber but he has custody of Leah right now, and she’s his priority.”
“Everyone agreed it’d been a crazy day and he just wanted to have a relaxing night with friends,” the source adds.
Should Gary be spending time with Amber or throwing parties in his backyard? We guess we can understand why he is worried about Leah, but is a party the best way to show he cares?

i don’t see how him having a BBQ with close friends is wrong.. Amber needs support but if shes thinking that he cheated on her then shes probably not in the right state of mind to be spending time with him. And is Gary not able to chill out and relax with his child and close friends after such a sad and tragic event?? He openly admits he still loves Amber, and it’s not like he was getting wasted, jammin’ out to loud music having a “great” time. The mother to his daughter is in the hospital for a possible suicide attempt!! Get a grip people give the guy a break and let him and Leah have a little peace after such a horrible event!!
