The ’30 Rock’ star has apologized AGAIN for his outrageous homophobic insult, this time insisting he’d be totally cool with a gay son.
He’s making a big effort to make up for his hateful comments during a comedy show, in which he said he’d STAB his son if he found out he was gay. Do you believe him? And is he sorry enough?
“The truth is if I had a gay son, I would love him just as much as if he was straight, Tracy, 42 tells rap mogul Russell Simmons. “I might have to try to love even more because I know of the difficulty that he would have in society.”
The comedian goes on to describe homophobia as the most abusive sickness, and voiced his support for gay marriage, telling Simmons on GlobalGrind.com. “My heart is committed to giving everyone the same rights that I deserve for myself. I don’t care if you love the same sex as long as you have the ability to love someone.”
He also tackles the issue of bullying, adding, “What I am most sad about is the comments I made about kids and bullying. I would never want any young person to think that I wasn’t on their side and if any young person thinks they can bully a young gay kid, come see me at 30 Rock. On the corner, I would be happy to meet you.”
Wow — that’s some backtrack, HollyMoms. But do you buy it?

this is all just rediculous to me. He is a comedian for goodness sake, he tells jokes and what comes with the territory is being able to laugh at situations other might find uncomfortable. But that’s what’s so great about our country, turn the damn channel if you don’t like it. Don’t buy his video when it comes out on dvd. But seriously to make him apologize for doing his job and then questioning his sinserity when he says hey, twas only a joke, I didn’t mean it. It upsets me to think that we are still stuck in a time when we need to walk on eggshells for fear of upsetting a “group” of people. (race, religion, sex, sexual orientation) Loosen up people! Do you really think God will condem you to hell for making a Jesus joke too?
