On the June 13 episode of ‘The Bachelorette,’ Ashley surprises 10 of the guys with a group date to the Baan San Fan Orphanage in Phuket, Thailand, where they spent quality time with children who lost their parents in a tsunami a few years ago.

Unlike last weeks drama-filled episode of The Bachelorette — thanks to heartbreaker Bentley Williams — this week’s episode showed Ashley Hebert starting fresh in Phuket, Thailand and finally recognizing the amazing qualities in the remaining men (Get over Bentley, already!). And what helped her get a glimpse into the true emotions behind these hunks was her group date to the Baan San Fan Orphanage, which she says “changed the guys’ lives.”

Ben F, J.P., Blake, Mickey, West, Ben C, Nick, Lucas, William and Ryan join Ashley at the orphanage, a community created to help the children who lost their parents in the tsunami that occurred a few years back.

“By far, my favorite group date was at the Baan San Fan Orphanage,” Ashley tells People in her official blog. “The guys took this very seriously, and many of them expressed how it changed their lives.”

The men grabbed their paint brushes and redid every room in the orphanage, coating the walls with bright blues, greens and pinks — and even adding their own special touches! Ben Flajnik really impressed Ashley when he started painting a mural on one of the main walls in the building — she was so touched he won the rose on the group date!

The 10 studs then headed outside to set up soccer nets in the yard so the kids could play and enjoy the little things in life they have yet to discover.

When the children arrive back at the orphanage, they are greeted by Ashley and the men, who show them all the work they’ve done inside and outside to make this community truly feel like home. The reaction on the little kids faces was priceless and truly inspiring.

“To know that I took part in organizing something that would improve the lives of both the children and these men makes me feel absolutely incredible,” Ashley says.

And we agree! It was such an amazing thing to see these men be truly touched by the experience and the children they had the honor of meeting.
