Jada Pinkett Smith Worries About The Effect Affluence Will Have On Her All-Star Kids — Is She Right To Worry?

Jada not only has herself and Hollywood hunk Will Smith to watch out for, but she has two superstar kids to worry about too! How does she keep them grounded?

Jada Pinkett Smith may be a “crazy busy” mom, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. The Hawthorne star, 39, who happens to be married to Will Smith (for the past 14 years), not only focuses on her own career, but on the careers of her super successful kids, Jaden, 12, and Willow, 10, who in her eyes have “god-given gifts.” But are they dealing with too much too fast?

“When kids are brought up in such affluence, you have to connect them to their own power,” Jada tells the ladies of The View today, June 13. “They have to be able to identify the tools that they have to make it in this world, not just go off on their parent’s success.”

“Affluence can be a very dangerous thing to grow up with,” she adds. We agree!

But affluent or not, Jaden, a movie star (thanks to Karate Kid which grossed $200 million last year), and Willow, a singing sensation (thanks to that little song called “Whip My Hair“), are talented and have worked hard to achieve this kind of success at such a young age.

“I definitely was not expecting Willow to blow up as fast as she did. That was a surprise…she caught me off guard!” Jada explains. “That was a bit of a shock.”

“When you look at Willow and Jaden…that is a god-given gift,” she adds. “We as parents are just here to support and nurture it.”

Do you agree with Jada? Or do you think kids need to be reigned in a little? Share your thoughts!

I have no sympathy for Jada, for she’s proved herself undeserving of sympathy. Just because somebody’s had a rougher, tougher time in life doesn’t give him or her the right to run roughshod over others, and, imho, maybe it would’ve been better if she had stayed with her rock band and on the road, so that her kids wouldn’t be exposed to her arrogant, insulting manner, and neither would other people.

Bull crap,Jada brought this all on herself by allowing her kids to take centre stage at such a young age.Yes affluence can be a dangerous thing if you do not set boundaries for your kids.Jada doesn’t seem to set any for her kids. She is to busy pushing them to be superstars.
