Jolie also wears her own clothes in new photos shot for Louis Vuitton!
In the ads for Louis Vuitton, Angelina Jolie sits perched on a wooden boat floating in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province. The actress, photographed by famed celebrity photographer Annie Lebowitz, looks fresh-faced and gorgeous. Not only did she style herself, her monogrammed Louis Vuitton Alto carryall is her own and around six years old.
Angie brought four of her world-traveling children to the shoot.
“People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation,” Pietro Beccari, Vuitton’s executive vice president, says to WWD. “I like the fact that it’s a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand.”
Louis Vuitton was rumored to have paid the actress millions of dollars for the work, but Pietro wouldn’t comment on her salary. He did say, however, reveal that Angelina donated some of her fees to charity.
Angelina first became aware of the social and economic problems in Cambodia while filming Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2000. Soon after, she adopted her first son from the country, Maddox. She has since founded the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation with her partner Brad Pitt, an organization created to promote community development and conservation.
Louis Vuitton ‘Core Values’ campaign is aiming to reach a broader audience by returning to its roots as a travel brand. Other celebrities that have posed for the campaign include Bono, Sean Connery, Sally Ride, and Buzz Aldrin.
In case you wanted to buy the exact bag slung over Angie’s shoulder, you may be out of luck. The bag is out of production, but says Pietro, “we are considering to re-edit it.”
