Joe Gorga finally responded to Teresa’s apology letter by committing to pay a visit to Gia’s gymnastic meet. But when Joe shows up later than expected, a hopeful reconciliation is no longer in the cards.
Poor Gia! Teresa’s daughter is absolutely the cutest thing on the show. I was so sad when she choked during her gymnastics meet because she was looking in the crowd to see if Uncle Joe Gorga had arrived. For the sake of the children, these Italian housewives need to put their own problems aside and reunite as a family – prontissimo!
Here’s what happened on the June 12 episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey:
Joe Gorga called Teresa and asked about her daughter, Gia. Teresa invited him to her gymnastics competition and told him it started at 1 o’clock. The adults seemed to be cordial and I thought this meet would finally be the much-anticipated happy reunion between both families. However, Joe & Melissa showed up late causing Gia to choke during her meet and shed a tear.
Sure, Gia brushed it off her shoulders and all the kids got along after the meet, but the parents – Teresa and her husband, Joe Guidice – and Joe and Melissa Gorga, barely spoke. Later, Melissa cried and said she feels neglected by her husband’s family. Joe Gorga agreed and said he can’t respect his family until his family can respect his family.
But before Melissa was drowning in tears, she was pursuing her career as a singer during this week’s episode. Apparently she has a songwriter and is very serious about this endeavor. We even got a glimpse of her first song, and I must say it wasn’t that bad.
If I had to choose between her singing in tonight’s episode or riding a mechanical bull( in the last episode)—I would choose this one, hands down.
Caroline Manzo was also pursuing a dream – to be a radio show host! The housewife had an interview and it looks promising. Her show will be based off her blog and will focus on the theme of what else, but family. I wouldn’t be opposed to tuning in.
She would definitely give better advice on family than her counterparts Teresa and Melissa. It looks like I’m not the only one getting tired of this family feud though; Jacqueline locks the enemies in her home until they sort things out once and for all in next week’s episode.
Until next Sunday…
