Happy Birthday, Natalie Portman! You're 30 Today, June 9!

As she turns the big 3-0, the actress has more to celebrate than ever this year!

Between her Academy Award for Black Swan, the box-office success of No Strings Attached, her engagement to beau Benjamin Millepied, and her pregnancy (she’s due any day now!), 2011 has been the Year of Natalie!

Born in Jerusalem, Israel, before moving to Long Island, NY, Natalie got her start Off-Broadway. Her big break came in 1999 when she starred as Queen Amidala in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. She’d go on to reprise the role in the following two prequels, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.

Since then Natalie has made a string of other movies, and graduated from Harvard, but none garnered her as many accolades or as much acclaim as her performance in Black Swan. Natalie won countless trophies for Best Actress including the Oscar, Golden Globe and SAG awards.

Natalie met Benjamin Millepied on the set of Black Swan, which he choreographed. In December, she announced her and Benjamin were engaged and expecting. We expect her to give birth any day now, maybe even today!

A famous vegan, Natalie has enjoyed indulging in things during her pregnancy that she normally doesn’t allow herself to. “It’s important when you have a baby inside you to still eat healthily but I am having my fair share of ice cream and dessert,” she said. “It’s nice to relax a little about eating and not deny yourself the odd craving.”
