Did Robert Pattinson's Upcoming Drama 'Bel Ami' Get An Official US Release Date?

Wed, June 8, 2011 6:32pm EDT by 9 Comments

‘Bel Ami’ is reportedly set to hit US theaters October 19, just one month before ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part I!’ Are YOU excited?

We cannot wait to see Robert Pattinson play the leading role in the remake of the drama, Bel Ami — and now we’re finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel! The Hollywood Reporter is reporting the film will be released Oct. 19, which is less than a month before The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1‘s Nov. 18 release!

In Bel Ami, Robert, 25, plays a young man who comes to great power in Paris and falls in love with an older woman (played by Uma Thurman). Although several international release dates have been announced for the highly-anticipated film, this is the first time we’ve heard a US date.

I am so excited about both these movies. I love Robert. He is amazing to watch. I am itching to see Bel Ami and I am so sad that I have to wait so long. I hope Cosmopolis comes out soon. I NEED me some Robert.

I love the Twi movies, and not just because of Rob. However, I have seen Rob play Edward numerous times. I want to see him play Georges DuRoy!! I can’t wait to see Bel Ami!!

Bel Ami is one of the most anticipated films of 2011. We have waited far too long for the US release date. I am sure they planned it just in time for Oscar consideration.

I think the only proof of the Twilight 3’s box office power is when the movies are finally over. Considering how these movies are being released – close to Breaking Dawn – the studios are banking on the Twihards to put butts in the seats. Water for Elephants, even with heavy promotion and Twilight references, has pulled 56 million in the domestic box office after seven weeks out. (It opened Easter weekend.) Bel Ami is put close to Breaking Dawn’s opening for a healthier box office.
