One of the world’s most celebrated and now iconic dresses will appear at the summer opening of Buckingham Palace!
Just a mere two months ago, we were all waiting with baited breath to see what Kate Middleton would wear to her April 29 nuptials with Prince William. The new Duchess of Cambridge did not disappoint, walking the aisle in a stunning Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown. She was sophisticated and refined, in diamond earrings and a Cartier tiara on loan from Queen Elizabeth. Watching the ensemble on TV was magical enough, but if you’d like to see it up close and personal, The Telegraph reports that it will be on display between Jul. 23-Oct. 3 at Buckingham Palace!
I’m sure people from all over the world will flock to see this piece of fashion history. The dress managed to pull off the difficult feat of being both traditional and modern, incorporating a classic Victorian-style corset without being too stuffy. Kate won unanimous praise from fashion critics everywhere, and I’m thrilled that we have the opportunity to see it for ourselves!
