Hidden behind a restored historic front on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this art nouveau-inspired lounge has two-story-high tin-tile ceilings and perhaps in homage to Ernest Hemingway, houses up to 10,000 hardbacks!
Open Tuesday through Saturday, Hemingway’s in Hollywood is often crowded with celebrities. Regular patrons of Hemingway’s include: Joaquin Pheonix, Shia LaBeouf, Zac Efron, Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Kate Bosworth. Macy Gray and Michelle Rodriguez have been known to DJ there, and on any given night there may be a number of surprise performances!
Hemingway’s has a fantastic cocktail menu that includes standouts such as “spring rain” — a mix of nigori sake, vodka, pineapple juice, and lime juice, and “smoke and spice” — a blend of mescal vida, chartreuse, bell pepper, jalapeno, lemon juice and agave.
Hemingway’s currently hosts specialty burlesque Thirst & Howl Wednesdays and is located at 6356 Hollywood Boulevard.
