What do you get when you cross a family therapist and a Grammy-winning songwriter?– a rockin’ & rollin’ book for babies.

Dr Jenn Berman and lyricist Cynthia Weil have the added connection of being mother & daughter, so they truly are experts when it comes to parenting and babies… and it shows in their brand new hilarious, fun creation, ‘Rockin’ Babies’!

Cynthia (she wrote You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling) and daughter Jenn (the author of a string of baby books) wanted their newest creation to capture the essence of babyhood.

And they’ve done it, with a quirky theme that capitalizes on both their areas of expertize.

Each page illustrates how babies and rock stars have a LOT in common. They both “party in their crib”; “trash their rooms” and are “mobbed by adoring fans”.

The bright, colorful pages are perfect for capturing the imagination of infants with a short attention span — my 6 month old son Callum was mesmerized by the illustrations of babies just like him, but with mohawks and tattoos!

And I think he appreciated the message too. Once he was done reading it, he tried to use the book as a teething toy.  Fortunately the sturdy, chunky pages are also dribble and chew-proof!

I’m not the only parent who’s already grooming a little rocker — new mom Samantha Harris reads Rockin’ Babies to her baby daughter Hilary!

Whether you want to inspire your tot to become a rockin’ adult, or be reminded of all the bad habits you need to rid your kid of — Rockin’ Babies would be a worthy and fun addition to your book shelf.
