Lorena On 'The Voice': Cee Lo's Team Tries To Pull A 'Hunger Games' Relationship; Are You Buying It?

Curtis Grimes and Emily Valentine end the last battle round of ‘The Voice’ with a kiss! Plus did Christina Aguilera make the right decision?

Maybe it’s just because I have Peeta and Katniss on the brain (at all times), but I really think all of these reality star contestants are taking a page out of The Hunger Games with their maybe-relationships. Lauren and Scotty kind of did that with the American Idol finale and tonight Curtis Grimes and Emily Valentine‘s post-Lady Antebellum performance had everyone shocked. But is The Voice duo really dating?

Cee Lo chose Curtis and Emily to go against each other and sing “Need You Now.” Emily (who could double for Lindsay Lohan) revealed she has a bit of a crush on Curtis, while he admitted they’d been hanging out together. At the end of their song they kissed each other, prompting Blake Shelton to say that Cee Lo had asked them to “duet not do it.”

Alas, only one of the star-crossed lovers could make it through to the next round and Curtis was Cee Lo’s choice. So do you think Curtis and Emily are really in a relationship or was this all for the cameras and entertainment value? I’m not so sure I believe this whole thing. Peeta and Katniss did a better job of convincing me!

In addition to the possible couple, we heard a few other singers tonight too. Jeff Jenkins beat out Casey Desmond in a rendition of “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me” for a spot on Adam Levine‘s team. Blake Shelton chose the ever-adorable Xenia (seriously, how amazing was it when her family sang along with her?) over Sara Oromchi in a battle of the shy, sweet swingers who tackled “I’ll Stand By You”. Christina Aguilera made a questionable decision, choosing Lily Elise over Cherie Oakley after they performed “Since You Been Gone”. I don’t think I would have made the same choice.

What did you guys think of tonight’s episode? The show won next year’s post Super Bowl spot as it continues to gain popularity. Now the results are determined by America voting so are you excited to have a say in who stays and who goes home? Sound off below!
