Ryan and Amanda, who have been dating on-and-off for seven months, finally called it quits — though friends speculate it may not quite be for good!

After a tumultuous seven month relationship, Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried have reportedly split up. However, a source close to the couple tells HollywoodLife.com they doubt Ryan and Amanda will stay separated for long.

“There were strong enough feelings and they like each other quite a bit, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they get back together down the road,” the insider says.

While Amanda, 25, did seem invested in her relationship with Ryan,36, she has been in a string of relationships recently: most notably with her Mamma Mia! costar Dominic Cooper, so she is reportedly taking this time to put herself first and focus on her career.

Recently, the duo wasn’t seeing much of each other, so it made sense to take a break. However, our source doesn’t rule out an eventual reconciliation.

“I know people always say that they remain friendly, but they are remaining friendly especially since its something that could easily be rekindled,” the friend adds.

The unlikely duo first met at a Halloween party thrown by Kate Hudson and began dating shortly afterwards. They were frequently photographed eating lunch and hiking in Los Angeles — even going to Paris together!

Despite the bumps in their relationship, (in March Ryan’s ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp revealed she was pregnant), Amanda stuck by her 11-years-older beau.
