Penelope Cruz has to be the most loved-up new mother in showbiz. She can’t stop gushing about her love for little Leo, who was born back in January. But is becoming a full-time mom the right move?
“After years of being a workaholic and always being tired, I’ve changed rhythm and found a more happy equilibrium,” Penelope, 37 tells UK magazine Closer.
And the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star finds work suddenly far less important now she’s a mom to Leo — whose dad is Javier Bardem, 42. She adds, “I don’t feel guilty when I don’t work now. Before, when I went home to Spain from America, I’d forgotten how to holiday properly – how to lie on the beach and relax. I’d go lock myself in the bathroom with my Blackberry and check for work emails.”
Wow — Penelope sounds serious. Does that mean no more ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies and no more Oscars appearances?
It must be tough juggling a new baby and a busy jet-setting movie career — but is quitting the answer?
What would YOU do in Penelope’s place?
