Many know her as Scary Spice from the 90s girl band phenomenon, and today she celebrates her 36th birthday.
Melanie Brown was the first Spice Girl to become a mother when she gave birth to daughter Phoenix in 1999. Eight years later she gave birth to her second girl Angel Iris, whose father is actor Eddie Murphy. Now she’s expecting baby number three with her husband Stephen Belafonte!
Though massive controversy erupted over Mel B’s baby with Eddie, Mel wanted the best for her daughter and Eddie did the right thing.
“This wasn’t some random, ‘Oops I fell over and I’m pregnant,’ she told People back in 2007. “I don’t live my life like that.”
She is now happily married (and pregnant) to husband Stephen and the former Spice Girl also plans to have new music out by the end of this year.
