The business-savvy Kim Kardashian knows how to turn her personal life into dollar signs — and experts believe her wedding could make the reality starlet a huge chunk of change!
The Kardashian craze shows no signs of stopping. Fans can’t wait to tune into to see Kim say “I do” to fiance Kris Humphries, which means a big paycheck for her and dollars for the network, too!
Kim’s money will come not only from her salary — but from the product placements she’ll no doubt use. “The real money will be made in product placements for the wedding,” Jo Piazza, PopEater Celebenomics columnist, tells HollywoodLife.
“Kim will actually get paid by the vendors to use them on the show. I think they could push that to about $5 million in revenue,” Jo says.
The network will obviously profit as well.
“Kim’s wedding would be the most watched show ever on E! , and would get probably somewhere between 8-10 million viewers,” Brad Adgate, Senior VP Research Horizon Media, informs us.
But if she wanted to kick it up a notch, Brad says she should do it live. “A live wedding would do a higher rating,” he says.
Whether it’s taped or live, though, ads for the show will not come cheap, which equals money for E! “Kim’s wedding would be the most expensive ad buy E! has ever had,” Brad explains.
Most importantly, expect this to be generate more interest than Khloe Kardashian’s walk down the aisle. “Khloe’s not Kim. This wouldn’t be a reality series if it wasn’t for Kim. She’s a much higher profile. The wedding will be a much bigger deal.”
