‘American Idol’ winner Scotty McCreery reveals he’d like runner-up Lauren Alaina to sing with him on his first album! How adorable is that?
Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina may have been competing against each other to win American Idol, but now they are just two artists who want to collaborate on an album. A smiling Scotty chatted with reporters last night after his big Idol victory, and he revealed he’d love to work with Lauren on his first album. In fact, he mentioned this more than once!
Scotty was asked if he would work with Lauren as he starts his post-Idol music career and he replied, “I hope so! I hope so, we have talked about it for a while. She’s a great girl, I can’t say enough nice things about her. I think we sound great together. So I think that would be a wise choice. We’ll see what happens!”
Afterward, Scotty brought up working with Lauren again when asked if he was planning on collaborating with anyone on his first album. “I hope so,” he repeated. “I mean, me and Lauren have talked about it. We’ll see if it works out … that would be really cool.”
Do we smell a From Justin to Kelly remix?
In all seriousness, we’d love to see the young country singers work together! They are close friends and are interested in going to the same college, so it would be perfect if they continued to address their growing fame as a duo.
What do you think? Do you want to see Lauren work with Scotty on his first album?
