Meet Storm — The World's First Gender-Less Baby!

Is it a boy or a girl? Only immediate family, a few close friends and the midwife who delivered Storm on New Year’s Day, know the answer to that question.

Why? Because Storm‘s parents want to bring their kids up in a world where THEY can choose what gender they want to be. Inspired parenting…. or just plain damaging?

David Stocker, 39, and Kathy Witterick, 38, from Toronto, Canada, want the four-month-old to escape the constraints society imposes on males and females. But are they doing more harm than good?

They claim they were inspired by the reaction to their decision to allow Storm’s older brothers Jazz,5 and Kio, 2 to explore their genders by choosing their own clothes and how to wear their hair.

When the pair both opted for a more feminine look, they were bullied by other children and mocked in public — so David and Kathy decided to go a step further.

The very modern mom and dad tell the Toronto Star that friends and family members are concerned Storm and his/her brothers will be damaged by their upbringing. Experts are divided on the issue.

Child psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere insists the only danger to Storm is bullying from other kids:”If the parents are able to fulfill all of the needs of the child and are able to meet the child’s needs in terms of guidance and nurturance, I really doubt that there’s going to be any real damage to the child. I’m more concerned about how other people are going to react to the child.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s almost 5-year-old daughter Shiloh has captured the attention of the public with her tomboy style and attitude. Are Brad and Angelina allowing her to the same ‘privileges’ Storm’s older brothers have?

But American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer describes Storm’s upbringing as “lunacy”: “I don’t think there’s any question that this is going to do severe harm to this child. That child is either a male or female, and it’s a tragedy that his parents or her parents are apparently unwilling to base their approach on scientific and biological truth.”

“The vast majority of people have enough common sense to recognize that this is lunacy. The vast majority of people are motivated by a deep level of concern of what’s going to happen to that poor child.”

Idk I think all these parents are doing this crap just to get on TV and magazine so people are talking about them and saying “oh wow look what they are doing”
Its ridiculous. Boys are boy and girls are girls.
If a boy wants to dress like a girl that doesn’t mean he’s all of a sudden going to sprout a vagina and be a girl. Same for girls.
All that’s being done is confusing these kids and making them targets for bullys.

In every stage of a life, one is going to be confused and bullied. But noone can TRULY say i am fully boy or i am fully girl. Everyone has a mix of male and female qualities. Some more then others.

this is a very radical change…and i support this. Its going to be hard but its another step to change. it snot “sick” “disgusting” or “stupid”…its how the brain works. Maybe one day people will be able to be GLbt or GenderQueer and have it be accecpted.

I am proud to be genderqueer…i dont limit myself to gender-specific things….Look it up if you need to open your minds a little bit….

The mother said that she’s surprised at such vitriolic comments & the fact that “everyone wants to know our baby’s sex is voyeuristic.”
No,we don’t want to know your baby’s sex,we want to tell you how completely wrong & screwy this is. This lab rat experiment is going to cause mental anguish for your children AND bite you back in the long run.
AND VOYEURISTIC??? Who posted this online in the first place DAVID STOCKER AND KATHY WITTERICK?!?!

I get where they’re coming from, honestly they’re doing this because they’re two other kids opted for a more feminine look when the world was telling him they are males.

It’s just one of those things we will have to wait and see.

I’m all for free expression and exploring the possibilities, but this is f–ked up. That child is going to grow up confused and damaged. What happens when Storm goes to school, what bathroom will he/she use? The all purpose handicap one? Yeah, that’s not going to cause bulling or harassment. Other kids are going to attack Storm and ridicule her/him for the choices of his/her parents. It’s unfair to the child and it’s going to cause unnecessary mental and physical damage to Storm.

Ridicule wouldn’t be a problem if parents educated their children to respect other people. It’s that simple. Hate is a learned behavior.

just plain bizarre. lets perform a social experiment on our own child, that could potentially emotional harm them.
