John Edwards could be charged with a felony for allegedly paying Rielle Hunter $1 million out of campaign funds to make sure the details of their affair and lovechild were kept secret!
Lawyers for the former presidential candidate are trying to cut a plea deal to keep Edwards from facing felony charges, according to the Wall Street Journal.
While running for the 2008 democratic presidential nomination, John — who was married to Elizabeth Edwards at the time — carried out a relationship with Rielle and fathered her child. He not only reportedly paid her, but bribed a campaign staffer to claim he was the father.
