'DWTS' Finale Recap: Hines Ward Wins The Mirror Ball Trophy, We Lose Two Hours Of Our Lives!

Hines Ward beat Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane on the finale of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ May 24! Were YOU happy with the outcome?

What has felt like the most wholesome and scandal-free season in Dancing with the Stars‘s history came to an anti-climatic close May 24. For a second we thought the under dogsKirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane — had a shot at winning the Mirror Ball trophy, but we were sadly mistaken.

Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward took home the grand prize — and we can’t say we were surprised. An early favorite, Hines was consistently strong on the dance floor and always held his own in popularity. We probably would be less bitter about the season’s ending if the finale hadn’t taken a painful, long two hours.

For 120 minutes, we were subjected to forced montages, excessive packages and random performances. Nothing was even decided an hour and a half into the show! Thankfully, we’ve been conditioned throughout the season to sit through cheesy, mindless programming. The finale was essentially the marathon to our training — and we’re proud to say we got through it, corny jokes and all.

HollywoodLifers, thanks for sticking it out for another season of Dancing with the Stars!

Let’s start casting next season — who do YOU want to see on the dance floor? Sound off below!

Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be at the web the easiest factor to understand of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while other folks consider worries that they plainly do not understand about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest as well as defined out the entire thing with no need side-effects , other folks can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thank you

CHELSEA SHOULD HAVE WON! SHE DESERVED IT! Guys do not work as hard as girls do unless you are a professional. Chelsea even looked like a professional when she was dancing. What a shock that she came in 3rd place. It should have been 1st.

I’m not sure why people are complaining about it being 2 hours. They’ve been doing this for years. If you only want the results always tune in 10 minutes before the show ends. Same with Idol.

Can’t mess with the Black and Gold! So happy with the outcome, after all Hines and Kym went through they deserved it! However, I am SOOOO glad I had this prerecorded so I did not have to suffer threw the 2 hour randomness, thank goodness for DVR! haha

Hines was the best dancer, but it was close. I would have been happy with any of the three, even Ralph was a great contender. It was a great season and a lot of fun. Two hours of nonsense was totally unnecessary.
