A school principle in the UK is setting a dress code for scruffy moms and dads — because he’s sick of seeing parents wearing pajamas!
Chris Wain has sent a letter to parents asking them to smarten up their act, claiming some are still in their PJs when they pick their kids up at the end of the day!
“What we were seeing was people staying in their pajamas all day. They were dropping their children off in the morning and collecting them in the afternoon wearing the same pajamas,” says Chris Wain, head teacher at Pallister Park School in Middlesbrough, England.
“Appearing at the school gates in pajamas isn’t the right way to go about things. It’s setting a bad example.”
Some parents are angry about the dress code. An unnamed mom tells The Sun newspaper, “I can’t be bothered getting dressed. My pajamas are comfy!”
Which side are you on HollyMoms? Do PJs set a bad example… or should we be allowed to wear what we like?

I think parents should choose whether to get dressed or not when driving their kids to school. But you are not alone.
When my brother and I were attending a private high school out of town (St. Sebastian’s in Needham, MA), my mom would be the one to drive us to school (22 miles on the X-Way) or to where she would wait with my brother and I for a teacher to pick us up in her pajamas (with an overcoat to cover up her pajama top).
If our snowplow man showed up between 4AM-6AM to plow the driveway, my dad and I would go outside to clean off the car in the driveway, move the car, then shovel the walkkways.
I didn’t bother to get dressed, I just threw an insulated coat on over my pajama top, pants over my pajama bottom, socks, and snow boots (I planned to back to bed after coming in and sleep some more).
Let the parents wear what they want when driving their kids to school. As long as they are not exposing their sleepwear from the neck down and they don’t have to get out their car, it is pefectly okay.
