What a dose of star power! After Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had their Victoria’s Secret mall date they met up with Selena’s renewed BFF Demi Lovato and Justin’s friend Chris Brown for a midnight showing of Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides at ArcLight theaters in Sherman Oaks, California. We spoke to four eyewitnesses who all confirmed they saw the gaggle of celebrity friends. “They left the movie before it ended, and were so amped up to be hanging out they kept jumping up and down,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com.
The foursome and six other friends showed up at midnight. “They didn’t buy any concessions they just went straight to the movie at midnight. Two hours later they all walked out of the theater before the film even ended,” one of our eyewitnesses reveals. Did somebody have a curfew to make? We do know Demi said she was tired earlier in the night!
“Barely anybody bothered them. One girl approached Selena and said she was a ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ fan. Selena smiled and took a picture with her,” explains another onlooker. “It didn’t look like any of them even had bodyguards.”
“Everyone in the theater couldn’t believe they were all here together. It was so surreal, and a little random. They were all jumping up and down around each other like kids. Selena and Demi were especially affectionate with each other. They all looked really to be hanging out together. If you didn’t recognize them you’d think they were a bunch of regular high schoolers,” explains our fourth eyewitness.
All four sources agree that everyone in the group was in high spirits, and apparently Selena and Justin didn’t show any PDA but were just content hanging out with their “loud” group of friends.
This sounds like such an amazingly fun time! We are so excited to hear that the friendship between Selena, 18, and Demi, 18, is still going strong, it is so sweet how happy they were to be together. Chris, 22, and Bieber, 17, filmed their “Next 2 You” music video on Friday, and it seems like they are building a strong bond. Now Justin and Selena are off in Hawaii together, but they had quite the send-off in LA before the Billboard Awards on Sunday!
