Maria finally addresses the world after Arnold admits to fathering a child with a member of their staff.

She’s kept quiet about her separation from the ex-Governor until now, but one word in her statement really intrigued us. Could she be reaching out to Ah-nuld’s illegitimate child?
“This is a painful and heartbreaking time,” says Maria, 55. “As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment.”

We noted, with interest, that Maria said that her concern is for “the children” — the, not her. Could she be referring to the child that Arnold reportedly fathered with the member of their domestic staff?

“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago,” Arnold said in a statement to the LA Times. “I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family.”
