The A-list mom-of-two is worried that Tinseltown might get the best of her boys, Kingston & Zuma. Should they move?
Gwen Stefani and hubby Gavin Rossdale are often pictured out and about with their boys — Kingston, 4½, and Zuma, 2½ — whether it be in L.A., London or New York. But, the singer turned designer is starting to realize the negative effects all the Hollywood glam might have on her family.
Gwen, 41, admits to Elle Canada that she fears for: “The kids, their privacy, a responsibility for them and not knowing if this is going to ruin their lives. They’re so exposed and they don’t have a choice – that scares me a lot.”
Kingston, who has been photographed since he was a baby, is pretty open about his feelings on the paparazzi. Last year, while strolling through The Grove with his nannies, Kingston got really angry when photographers started snapping pictures of him — and it was all caught on camera! So what does that signify?
“I think it’s going to be fine,” Gwen adds to Elle. “My children are very loved. Hopefully, they’re going to grow up and not be crazy because of it. I don’t think there are that many sacrifices – I really don’t want it all to go away.”
We appreciate Gwen’s honesty, but if it comes down to her boys growing up angry vs. them living a normal life out of the spotlight, what would she choose?
“I get overwhelmed,” she says. There’s just so much going on. How am I supposed to do everything – especially now that I have kids? That’s the hardest part – it’s just so much responsibility.”
We understand that being a mom in Hollywood isn’t easy, but sometimes you have to pick and choose what’s really important in life. What do you think, HollyMoms?
