Talk about a surprise! Do you think Ashton can breathe new life into the CBS sitcom?
Insiders confirm to TVLine that Ashton Kutcher is in negotiations with CBS to replace Charlie Sheen on the hit show, Two and a Half Men — and it’s reportedly looking good for both parties involved!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “the exact dollar figure he will be paid is not known, but a source says Kutcher is getting a ‘huge payday’ to join the hit sitcom.”
The executive producers are willing to pay big bucks because they’re hoping Ashton, 33, will bring in an even bigger, younger audience than Charlie did. In fact, the show’s creators are so set on getting Ashton on board, they’ve already written a storyline that brings him into the show organically.
“It’s really funny,” one source tells THR. “People are going to love it.”
Ashton hasn’t made an official statement yet, but he did post this cryptic tweet shortly after rumors began to circulate: “What’s the square root of 6.25?” The answer, of course, is 2.5!
