Palin Family Slams Levi Johnston as 'Absentee Dad' -- Only a 'Handful' of Visits with Son Tripp

Bristol Palin’s baby daddy has only seen their two-year-old son Tripp ‘a handful of times’ in the past year, according to sources close to Alaska’s former first family.

As Levi Johnston, 21, prepares to release his expose, Deer In The Headlights: My Life In Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs in September — the Palin family are begging him to end his attacks on the ex-Governor and be a proper dad.

“Levi’s seen Tripp maybe just a handful of times in the last year,” a source tells Star magazine. “There were months when he and Bristol were both in Alaska and he didn’t visit.”

“It would be nice to think that Levi would like to have some sort of relationship with his child, but so far that hasn’t happened.”

It’s not the first time Levi’s been accused of abandoning his son — back in January, Bristol, 20, told the Bob & Mark Radio Show her former fiance had spent just 12 hours with his son since she ended her stint on Dancing With The Stars the previous fall.

A source close to the Palins tells HollyBaby.com that Levi is an absentee father, adding that Bristol offers him plenty of opportunity to see Tripp, but he declines the offers.

We have put out numerous calls and emails to Levi’s attorney and manager, but those calls have remained unanswered.

Is it time Levi stopped his war with the Palins, if only for the sake of his son?

Whoever it is obviously wants to hurt Levi before his new book comes out. Obviously this thoughtless self-serving “source” also doesn’t give a whit about how they are at the same time hurting innocent Tripp. That poor baby is being used. Levi I hope you make a bunch of money from your book because you need a decent lawyer!!

Sarah is AFRAID of Levi’s book obviously. She’s jerked Levi (a 17 yr. old at the time) around from day one by insisting he be on the national stage just to show off the Palin family values. She knows Levi knows the truth – after all she allowed him to live in their home and sleep in Bristol’s bedroom. The Palin’s don’t miss an opportunity to publicly pick on this young man who had the sad misfortune of being Bristol’s boyfriend. Yes we ALL know fathers whose Baby Mama uses the child as a weapon. Just a couple of days ago Palin said the White House’s judgment to invite Common is “just so lacking of class and decency and all that’s good about America.” Yeah, right. The President and first lady lack class and decency but the Palin’s don’t. SAD!

Missy Moneybags and her millionaire Mommy Lawyers tried to get Tripp’s last name changed to Palin. She tried to take custody away from Levi so he could never see his son again. The Johnstons have been BEGGING to babysit and have time with Tripp. Against court orders she slammed Levi for going Hollywood on national TV. She demands $1,750 a mo. child support from him then traipses all over the lower 48 thousands of miles away and now is putting the baby in a reality TV show to make more $$ off of Levi’s son (which she accused Levi of trying to do!).

The baby is cute. Why he even has Bristol’s REAL chin. Tripp will grow up and read all this. Beware Bristol. It’s a sad day when a mother looks at her baby and sees dollar signs. You better start thinking about your actions and the consequences you will face later.

And you can believe anything the Palins say, especially when they comment unanimously?

anyone who knows anything about the palins knows they are liars of the worst kind. they set out to destroy anyone they don’t like. the bottom line is that they kicked him to the curb and have prevented him from seeing his kid – but they tell the public it’s all his fault. how is he supposed to see the kid when his mother moved him to arizona last december?

This is typical of someone who is immature and vengeful. Palin is such a hypocrite. I’d like to know how much time she has spent with her Down’s syndrome child, in between making speeches that criticize the president, going on interviews on Fox News, going to and being on reality shows and being on Twitter and Facebook.
She is a multi-millionaire from her book and that stupid reality show and she certainly doesn’t need to do all these appearances. She chooses to go out and be in the spotlight, rather than devoting her time to her child with Down’s syndrome.

Of course not. Bashing Levi on Bristol Palin’s account is very disappointing to see on your site. It’s no secret she doesn’t want Levi being a father to his own child.

Well, let’s see. When Tripp was in Alaska, he was very busy being part of Sarah Palin’s reality show(didn’t see Levi invited on any of the trips). And then Bristol took him with her while she was out of town on DWTS. Then Bristol took him out of state to live in Arizona(more than likely a violation of custody agreement) and is currently using Tripp as a prop for her upcoming reality show (watch as Bristol & her son Tripp move from Alaska to L.A.)

The Palins probably will not let him see Tripp after all she is the one who moved to Arizona. The Palins are a spiteful family. They have ruined this young mans life.Bristol was as responsible for having a baby as Levi.

Bristol and Levi were just kids when their son was conceived, that’s the problem. That baby was a misstake not using birth control, fact is, he’s here and alive and healthy. The maternal family has taken complete responsiblity for this “little fella” and Levi’s been given a pass. So immature and not prepared for the responsiblity. The comments reported over the last few days have Bristol saying, “I wished I’d waited to have a baby” and her life as a 20 year year old is just beginning add a toddler to the mix and she is going to feel resentment stuck w/ sole custody. It’s a good lesson for other teens, but I’m a new 1st time Grandma so what do I know? Thankfully, my daughter had been married for two years before my beautiful grandson came along. In the old days, that’s how it was suppose to be.

I was thinking the same thing as babe. both bristol amd levi have brown eyes and tripp has these huge blue eyes. he doesn’t look at all like either of them.
