Our favorite ‘Glee’ gal brings the house down with this rousing rendition!
It’s no secret Charice is one of our favorite singers, and she was so touching when she performed the Filipino national anthem on May 7 at the beginning of the Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley fight in Las Vegas!
The match, which took place at the MGM Grand Arena, began with the national anthems of both contenders, and Manny requested that Charice, 18, perform “Lupang Hinirang” in honor of their shared Filipino heritage.
We love hearing Charice sing, and this might be her most passionate performance yet!

Maybe for some this is only a National Anthem, but few people outside Philippines who knows the story behind singing the Anthem. The government will sue the singers if they change the tune of the Anthem. All the singers who sang in Manny Pacquiaos match before Charice had been sued with a possibility of being jailed. Good for Charice, she sang the right marching tune and this Anthem is not very easy to sing especially because of the lyrics. So to people who don´t know the story, this is not an ordinary Anthem!
