Jill returned for the May 5 episode of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City!’ But has the former trouble maker actually grown up since last year?

We’re happy to see Jill Zarin finally back on The Real Housewives of New York City – she’s been missing in action for the past two episodes! And it sounds like Jill has been put under Ramona Singer‘s “renewal” spell since returning from her vacation in Australia.

Jill, NYC’s queen bee, claimed to be changed. But seconds after vowing to stay away from gossip  – she took a jab at her frenemy Ramona!

“Ramona brings grown women to tears,” Jill told Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and newbee Cindy Barshop. “She leaves dead bodies everywhere!”

Even if Jill is trying to show her softer side, we hope she still has enough “chutzpah” to keep the season interesting! If not, it looks like Sonja Morgan will find a way to keep fans glued. The feisty blonde is holding nothing back this season. Do we have a new Ramona on our hands? She’s getting more “sonsational” as the episodes fly by.

Sonja took it upon herself to acquaint Cindy on “the pecking order” of their social circle. She even badgered Cindy about not having any Pinot Grigio for Ramona at her party!

“No one would be there or know you if it wasn’t for Ramona. There’s a pecking order, and if Ramona Singer walks into your party, you have to respect that,” says Sonja. That means have wine ready —  and no more parties way out in Quogue. Cindy was obviously insulted!

The drama also seemed to settle down a bit between the blondes and brunettes — some even apologized! Sonja was successful in bandaging some of the wounds between Ramona and Kelly Bensimon regarding Kelly’s breakdown on “Scary Island” last season. Shockingly, Jill & Alex McCord finally had a sit-down — actually a burn-down — by throwing their qualms into the fire. Are their flames finally cooling down to smoking embers?

But can Jill really be trusted? What do you think BFFs? Some still hold Jill accountable for destroying her friendship with Bethenny Frankel. But should we let her live down the past? Has Jill really changed, as she claims? Share your thoughts with us!

Jill–at the core–is phony and mean; she has not changed.
She is merely hoping that her lost fans will again see her in a positive light.

AS FAR AS TRUSTING JILL, ONLY TIME WILL TELL. THE ONE THING SHE SAYS THAT TRULY BOTHERS ME IS THAT THE FRIENDSHIP FAILED AND RELATES IT TO BETHENNY NOT ACCEPTING HER APOLOGY. I JUST REMEMBER BETHENNY TRYING SOOOOO MANY TIMES TO TALK TO HER AND ONCE SCENE IN PARTICULAR WHERE BETHENNY WAS STANDING ON A CURB CRYING AFTER BEING OUSTED BY JILL. SO, YES, IT’S DIFFICULT TO SAY IF LOSING THAT FRIENDSHIP IMPACTED JILL IN SUCH A WAY THAT SHE NEVER WANTS TO EXPERIENCE ANYTHING LIKE THAT AGAIN. TIME WILL TELL. I HOPE FOR HER SAKE SHE’S BEING SINCERE B/C IT’S JUST NOT HEALTHY TO STAY STUCK AND NOT CHANGE BEHAVIORS. BUT, EVERYONE DESERVES A 2ND CHANCE I GUESS.

I remember Bethenny wanting to confront Jill by verbally attacking her and reminding Jill of each and every one of her flaws. Do I think Bethenny genuinely wanted to make up with Jill? No. I think the only reason Bethenny was crying was not being able to control the situation and go after Jill on her terms. Kudo’s to Jill for letting go and trying to change this season. I always thought Bethenny was too agressive and sarcastic. Bethenny’s constant berating of the ladies on her season of Real Housewives of New York. I just wanted Bethenny to realize humor doesn’t have to come at the expense of a persons feelings.

Jill says that because she couldn’t bear the backlash she received from her Bethany fight. She never fathomed that the viewers would hate her for it. Now she thinks that coming back and “saying” that she’s the new Jill is going to change everything and she will get some fans back and not be the most hated housewife. Somebody needs to tell her that “actions speak louder than words” and so far we can only hear her.
