It’s a baby boom day — TV couple Jay Mohr and Nikki Cox are celebrating the birth of their first baby together, a boy named Meredith Daniel!

Nikki Cox will get to celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend as a first time mommy after giving birth on May 5.The little bundle arrived weighing 6lbs and 7oz, and was named after the 32-year-old Las Vegas actress’ dad Meredith.

“We are over the moon, filled with joy and every other cliché new parents use,” the couple coos. “He’s perfect.”

Meredith is Nikki’s first child, but Gary Unmarried star Jay’s second — he has a son Jack from a previous marriage.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of the birth of  Bryan Adams‘ baby daughter Mirabelle and Emma Bunton‘s son Tate.

Congratulations to you all — we can’t wait to meet your beautiful little bundles!
